To control all the symptoms and to regulate the levels of estrogen in the body, doctors prescribe blockers. They are chemical compounds which not only control the levels of estrogen in the body but also help in managing symptoms of other health conditions.

One of the most important uses of these blockers is in the treatment of cancer. High levels of estrogen can cause liver disease which may trigger the multiplication of cancerous cells in the chest and testes causing tumors. There are different kinds of estrogen blockers available in the market. Readers are advised to consult a medical specialist before taking any of the above mentioned medications. Avoid self-medication strictly. Causes of Excess Estrogen Men are often surprised to know that their bodies too produce a little amount of estrogen to maintain hormonal balance in their system. Estrogen is composed of three different types of hormones: Estradiol: This is the most common form of estrogen. In women it is produced by the ovaries and in men they are secreted by the adrenal glands and testes. Estrone: This form is found in minimal amounts in both males and females. The adrenal gland of the body help generates it and it is stored in the fatty tissue. Estriol: The last type of estrogen is produced in large amounts in women, especially during pregnancy. Before we talk about reduction of the levels of estrogen in men, it is essential to know the reasons of increase in its level. This will help in controlling the various symptoms of high estrogen in men. These symptoms include low sex drive, formation of male breasts, loss of body hair, softer voice, decrease in muscle mass and prostate enlargement. The causes include: As men grow old, their testosterone levels decrease and estrogen levels increase. In case of obese men, this happens at a faster rate. Obese people suffer from high levels of estrogen as the fatty cells in their abdominal region produce an enzyme known as aromatase.

This enzyme does the job of converting testosterone into Mandro RX estrogen, thus causing hormonal imbalance. The usage of narcotics and anabolic steroids can also be instrumental in increasing estrogen levels. Alcohol abuse converts testosterone into estrogen and incapacitates the liver to remove excess estrogen from the body. Certain illnesses related to the pituitary and adrenal glands and testes can be held responsible for elevating estrogen levels. Natural Estrogen Blockers High estrogen levels are dangerous for the body and it is essential to keep them under control for better hormonal balance. This balance can be done by eating healthy foods. For men who are overweight, the best estrogen blocker would be the Bee Pollen which is still not turned into honey. They can also go in for Epimedium or Horny Goat Weed. Fruits such as Berries, Citrus Fruits, Figs, Grapes, Melons, Pears, Pineapples are excellent estrogen blocking foods. Fresh green vegetables such as Arugula, Bok Choy, Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Chard, Collard Greens, Corn, Green Beans, Kale, Onions, Radishes, Rutabagas and Squashes are effective in controlling estrogen. The condition in which the male body suffers from high levels of estrogen is called estrogen dominance. This condition can be treated by following a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. It is not that estrogen is bad for health. Estrogen was used to treat dangerous medical conditions such as prostate cancer and prostate enlargement. High estrogen leads to development of feminine characteristics in men and other health problems. Thus, it advised that estrogen levels should always be under control and their importance shouldn't be ignored.

Tongkat ali or pasak bumi is a tree, that is native to some Asian countries, like Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Tongkat ali (Eurycoma longifolia) is the local name for a medium-sized tree with a slender trunk. The tree can reach a maximum height of around ten meters. The roots of this rain forest tree have been used as a herbal remedy, for a very long time. The name 'tongkat ali' (that means Ali's walking stick) is derived from the long and twisted nature of the roots. It is a slow-growing tree, which takes around 25 years to mature. It is claimed that use of this root is beneficial for boosting testosterone levels. It is also suggested that the herb has antimalarial, antitumor, antipyretic, and antibacterial properties. Tongkat ali is now popular as Asian Viagra and longjack. Benefits The root of Tongkat ali is available in dried form, or as powder or extract. Traditionally, these roots have been used as an aphrodisiac. Tongkat ali is mainly used for increasing libido, sexual stamina, and fertility. It is also used for treating impotence and erectile dysfunction. This herb is an active ingredient in some bodybuilding supplements, because an increased level of testosterone leads to an increased muscle mass. Even though, the efficacy of this herb is still not proved in humans, studies conducted on animals suggest that tongkat ali may increase sexual interest. According to the exponents of this herb, it can act in two ways. It increases the production of testosterone in the body. At the same time, it inhibits the action of an enzyme, that is responsible for the metabolism of testosterone. Increase in testosterone level results in an increase in stamina and sexual desire.

This herb is also said to be beneficial for equalizing and balancing blood circulation in the body. It is claimed that tongkat ali is good for boosting the immune system as well as the reproductive system. Side Effects Tongkat ali is very popular, and most of the users are satisfied with its use. There are a few reports about some side effects, like insomnia and anxiety. Such side effects are often found in people, who use high doses of the herb. Some of the users develop a warming sensation throughout the body, after ingesting the herb. This reaction is also linked to high dosage, and is said to be due to the increased blood flow and body temperature. Rapid heartbeat is an uncommon side effect. It is always better to stick to the proper dosage of tongkat ali, as prescribed by a qualified herbal practitioner. However, this herb is not recommended for men with heart diseases, diabetes, kidney diseases, liver problems, and prostate or breast cancer. It should not be taken by men, who use immunosuppressant drugs. It is always better to consult a healthcare provider, before using such herbs. Did You Know? Stanozolol is a performance-enhancing drug that is banned from use in sports owing to the high incidence of the misuse of this steroid by professional athletes. In the 1988 Summer Olympic Games, Ben Johnson, the Canadian sprinter, tested positive for this steroid. One of the recent cases is that of Zane Botha, a South African rugby player, in January 2013, he was banned from competing in rugby for 2 years after he tested positive for this drug. The term 'anabolic-androgenic steroid' refers to synthetic drugs or substances that are chemically related or similar to testosterone, the male sex hormones.

Though these synthetic steroids were developed to treat hypogonadism―a condition that is characterized by problems associated with the normal growth or development of sexual characteristics due to the insufficient production of testosterone by the testes―their popularity increased when it was found that these drugs could promote muscle growth. The anabolic steroids bind to the androgen receptors in the muscle tissue and travel to the nucleus, wherein they stimulate the process of protein synthesis. This results in the growth of the cells and the muscle tissue. Unfortunately, this property of anabolic steroids has been exploited by bodybuilders, weightlifters, and professional athletes to build muscles and speed up their recovery. Stanozolol is an anabolic steroid which has been used by athletes to improve their performance, which is certainly an unethical practice, as using these drugs can alter the results of sports contests. It was marketed under the trade name Winstrol (oral) and Winstrol Depot (aqueous suspension). Even when used for medical reasons, stanozolol can be bought only with a prescription. Though it is believed that the anabolic effects of this drug dominate over the androgenic effects, certain androgenic effects have been observed at low doses. Thus, it is advisable to report any untoward effects. What is Stanozolol Used For? Developed by Sterling-Winthrop Laboratories in 1962, Stanozolol is derived from Dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which is synthesized from testosterone in the prostate gland and testes in men. In case of women, testosterone is produced by the ovaries. It must be noted that most of the effects of testosterone occur after its conversion to DHT, which has potent androgenic properties.

This drug was developed for treating low blood count due to bone marrow failure. It is also recommended for the treatment of hereditary angioedema, which is a rare, inherited condition that is caused by the deficiency of the C1 inhibitor protein. This condition is characterized by symptoms such as swelling of the face, hands, feet, limbs, face, voice box, windpipe, or intestines. It is believed that the use of stanozolol can lower the severity, as well as the frequency of attacks. Though it is banned by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), it still remains a commonly abused steroid. This drug increases the testosterone levels by increasing the synthesis of proteins and lowering the levels of sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG). Elevated testosterone levels help enhance strength and performance. It must be noted that this drug is a Schedule III controlled substance in the United States. Unfortunately, it is imported from foreign pharmacies for illegal purposes. Side Effects of Stanozolol Though it is believed that this drug has a slight androgenic nature, it is a potent anabolic steroid. However, certain side effects have been associated with its use. Effects on the Liver A major cause of concern is the effect of this drug on the liver.

It is believed that prolonged use of this drug could lead to liver-related problems such as: Jaundice (Yellowing of the skin and the eyes) Dark-colored urine Light-colored stool Nausea Vomiting Abdominal pain Fatigue Long-term use of anabolic steroids has been associated with the development of multiple blood-filled cystic spaces or tumors in the liver, which is why caution must be exercised by anyone who is taking such drugs. Often, liver function test results show elevated levels of serum bilirubin, serum glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase (SGOT), alkaline phosphatase, and bromsulphalein (BSP).
